The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) has with success, breached the US Marines site and in the process sent a message to the country’s government.
The group, which is for the Syrian government, placed a message on the Marines.com homepage that debated that the government has been “fighting a vile common enemy” for three years.
“This is a message written by your brothers in the Syrian Army, who have been fighting Al Qaeda for the last three years. We understand your patriotism and love for your country so please understand our love for ours. Obama is a traitor who wants to put your lives in danger to rescue Al Qaeda insurgents,” the message stated.
It continued to state: “Marines, please take a look at what your comrades think about Obama’s alliance with Al Qaeda against Syria. Your officer in charge probably has no qualms about sending you to die against soldiers just like you, fighting a vile common enemy. The Syrian army should be your ally not your enemy. Refuse your orders and concentrate on the real reason every soldier joins their military, to defend their homeland. You’re more than welcome to fight alongside our army rather than against it.”
SEA’s message was followed by several images of people in US armed forces and written messages in front of their faces saying “I will not fight for Al Qaeda” and many others.
The Marines then published a statement earlier today that declared the site is now back online and that they will be supervising the situation from here forwards to prevent any more attacks.
