Oracle is going to launch one of its largest patches yet, with some 147 fixes arriving Tuesday for vulnerabilities in Java SE, its flagship database, business software and various other products.
Tuesday’s release will contain 36 fixes for Java SE, a pre-release announcement stated on Oracle’s site this week. Thirty-four of the flaws could be utilized by an attacker on the network without having to use authentication, Oracle mentioned.
25 fixes are going to be launched for several products in Oracle’s Fusion Middleware catalog, which includes WebCenter and GlassFish Server. Twenty-two of these weaknesses can be remotely exploited without having to use a user name and password.
16 of the total fixes are directed at Oracle’s supply chain software, with six of these also being remotely exploitable without having authentication. An additional 17 fixes will likely be released for PeopleSoft applications, five for Oracle’s database, 11 for the Solaris OS, and nine for Oracle’s virtualization software. Five patches are set for Oracle’s database, in addition to 18 for MySQL, based on the announcement.
