The Stamford Podiatry Group, based out of Connecticut is informing patients that health and private details were compromised in a recent security breach (www.stamfordpodiatry.com).
On April 14, 2016, Authorities found that an unauthorized person had entry to the group’s networks including its database between February 22 and April 14.
Names, health background, treatment information, name, social safety figures, times of delivery, gender, marital status, addresses, cell phone numbers, email addresses, names of treating and referring physicians, and insurance plan information had been all compromised in the breach.
The practice has finished a forensics analysis and made measures to guarantee the re-securing and cleanup of their owned boxes. They’re also undergoing the installation of more security measures to defend against future intrusions. Individuals who have been impacted are being offered a year of free credit monitoring services.
