The P.F. Chang’s at 27001 U.S. Highway 19 N in Clearwater, Florida was among the 33 U.S. stores victimized by a security breach in which debit and credit card information was taken, as outlined by a statement by the restaurant chain.
“The potentially stolen credit and debit card data includes the card number and in some cases also the cardholder’s name and/or the card’s expiration date,” the announcement went on to say. “However, we have not determined that any specific cardholder’s credit or debit card data was stolen by the intruder.”
The other Florida P.F. Chang‘s that was breached, was in Winter Park.
An up-to-date report from CEO Rick Federico explained how the “security compromise has been contained and P.F. Chang’s has been processing credit and debit card data securely at all locations since June. 11.”
The day prior, the U.S. Secret Service notified P.F. Chang’s to the probable security compromise. An analysis, including third party forensic experts, was quickly initiated. The team will continue to work to comprehend the “nature and scope of the incident.”
