Malware Targeting Specific Mobile Devices

F-Secure has released an Article on the 19th of June stating “We’ve discovered a server that only attacks and/or spams smartphones and tablets — and not PCs.”

A site that was accessed with a mobile device was much different then from a normal PC, “Mobile browsers are redirected to a .info domain which in turn redirects yet again.”  On occasion it would redirect to a popular game on Google Play.

Other times F-Secure reports a redirect to NSFW sites and other times, malware.  The file that is downloaded on the targeted system is in .APK format, the normal installation file for Android devices.
