Google’s rogue engineer named

The engineer, who designed Google’s Street View Wi-Fi software package to compile personal information, has been identified by an American newspaper.

The engineer is reportedly Marius Milner, developer of the popular NetStumbler wardriving programmer for Windows. Milner depicts his occupation as a “hacker” on his LinkedIn page.

When Google was originally being  accused of collecting data from unprotected wifi hot spots, they had denied all claims.  But little did Google know that they had an engineer programming the Google Street view software to collect personal data.
