The torrentlocker seems to present itself to victims as cryptolocker in every case. Fox-IT Security now receives multiple reports of new victims within the Netherlands and are at this time examining the new campaign and malware that is being used.

If you have fallen victim to torrentlocker and discover that a number of your files happen to be encrypted and therefore are unreadable. In cases like this, each directory which contains encrypted files will also contain an HTML-file with instruction regarding how to contact and pay the individuals behind these waves of attacks.
