Cyber attacks disrupt al-Qaeda’s recruitment

According to US intelligence sources, WTOP, the DDoS attacks have substantially interrupted the organization’s power to recruit members via online sites.

Last week, al-Qaeda planned to launch a film called “Salil al-Sawarim 3” to declare their come back in Iran, but the release has been postponed because of the cyberattacks.

The websites being targeted have been utilized by al-Qaeda to promote their organization and to recruit youths from all around the world.  Because of these attacks, sites are down.  US officials say that there are now no trusted locations where the organization’s members can meet.
